Rashmi Chatwani

Rashmi Chatwani was born in Uganda and studied Economics and Accounting at Birmingham University.

In 1978 he joined Price Waterhouse and enjoyed 4 years working with them.

In 1984, Rashmi joined his brother Satish Chatwani in the family business, Kanta Enterprises Group. He joined as Director and Shareholder. The Group is involved with hotels, properties and the international trading business with an annual revenue of US $150 million.

Kanta Enterprises is a group company and offered the shareholders and Mr Chatwani the opportunity to create a multitude of new projects.

From 1991and todate , Mr Chatwani and the shareholders of Kanta Enterprises founded new companies, Inchstore, Aquarius Hotels, Kel Financial Consultants, Copson Hotels & Leisure, Aquarius Homes, Letchworth Hall Hotel, F.Copson and LCP Building Supplies, Waverley House Hotel, M & M Export, K Café,Cheraday, Kanta Developments, White Horse Hotel,Strategic Business, Chatwani LLP

In 1992 Satish and the shareholders went on to create one of the groups more prominent companies, Davis & Dann.

In 1995 Rashmi Chatwani and his brothers Satish Chatwani and Jawahar Chatwani became directors of Fairview Hotels which now owns operates twelve hotels all branded with Accor Hotels including two Mercure Hotels, Three Ibis and seven Novotels. The portfolio of five hotels was increased in 2016 by the acquisition of 4 hotels and a further three in 2017. This expansion now means that the group has 1300 bedrooms and employs over 600 people.

Rashmi, along side a full and entrepreneurial career, enjoys staying active, playing golf and travelling. He also enjoying reading and the theatre.
